| These nesting doll styles have been sold in Eastern Europe since time immemorial. Within this range, one finds a wide variety of sub-styles.
Some reflect traditional styles of dress, others represent traditional east-European activities. And some are dolls which are simpler in nature, intended as inexpensive gifts.
Whatever the style, each nesting doll is handlathed and then handpainted. Because of that, each doll is different. There is no other nesting doll in the world exactly like it.
And, in case you didn't know, these dolls nest inside each other. Each doll that is opened reveals a hidden visual delight as a new, smaller doll appears inside the larger.
